Website Design (Villa Rental)?

I want to start a ';Holiday Villa Rental'; website where clients advertise on my website (for a small fee) their villa(s) that they wish to rent for holidays etc.


My site would need my ';clients'; to (securely) log in to update their (own) calender, it would need search facilities and the capabilities of hosting about 500 ';villa details';.


Any idea of any website ';templates'; available or if not what software would be best/easiest to design such a site ............................ or any other ideas/suggestions gratefully received.Website Design (Villa Rental)?
We use availcheck.com to supply calendars which we can update for availability of our holiday cottages.....its a very very competative market....not sure how much you intend to charge if your site is merely a portal site to the clients own websites.....or do you intend to run it as a booking/management company as well.....if you do, then most agencies charge about 18% plus VAT of the hire fee....just for being a portal site is not very profitable, most such sites advertise for free, but then charge to set up each webpage for each individual property.....a lot of work involved and as I said, a very competative market,, a site we are considering charges 拢80 per year......so you are not going to be able to retire with 500 cottages on your books....so you need to run an agency....and believe me that is a lot of work. I don't think templates are the answer. It's hard enough finishing a 500 page book without having to rewrite it every other day. Go to http://www.hotscripts.com and snoop around the PHP section fo a suitable directory script. There should be many, but not all will be free. Then you need an understanding host to take on your site and help you with the task of installing the script. You could try http://at3host.com and use the free hosting facility until your site gets off the ground. Such directories are not favored by Google and Yahoo, so you will need to put in some effort to get it off the ground. if you succeed, it should be a great site.
